In Loving Memory Of Mary Medellin Snyder
1940 - 2025
Mary went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 4, 2025. She is in Heaven with her husband, Douglas R. Snyder. She was born in San Antonio, Texas. Mary was the fourth child out of ten siblings. She was a twin but her twin died at birth. She loved her family and always looked forward to gatherings throughout the years. Mary met her husband, Douglas, at a dance at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio in the late 60's. It was love at first sight and would last for 53 years. Throughout the years, she worked many jobs, the one she loved most was being an x-ray technician at Santa Rosa Hospital. Not long after that is where her true calling began. They listened to J Vernon Magee, a radio minister. She would later receive Christ as her Savior in the early 80's. Mary loved serving the Lord and shared her faith with her friends and family, leading many of her family members to Christ. She also worked as a caregiver to the elderly. They moved to the Fort Worth area in the 90's and settled in Benbrook in 2004 where they would reside. Mary was a long-time member of Worth Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was to work in the yard. They also loved traveling to Northern Michigan to visit family and the Great Lakes. Mary is survived by her only child, Anna Griffin, and son in law, Tim Griffin. Two grandsons; Joshua Griffin and wife, Abigail, Jared Griffin, and soon to be great grandson, Declan. Her siblings; Hope, Margie, Joe, Lupe, and Josie along with many nieces and nephews. Mary is reunited in Heaven with her parents and siblings who have gone before her.
