Melissa Grace Kobelka

1980 - 2025

Melissa Grace Kobelka, 44, of Saginaw, Texas, left the chaos and tumult of this troubled world behind her on September 21, 2025. She was born on December 16, 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona. Melissa graduated high school and attended college in Ohio before moving to Texas where she spent the rest of her life.

Melissa had planned to enlist in the United States Air Force and make that her career. However, in 1998, when Melissa was only 17 years old, she was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis. She battled the disease for over 27 years. And although she finally succumbed to her illness, Melissa did not lose the battle. For just like her sister Melanie did before her, Melissa found victory in Jesus.

Melissa was a big fan of the Eagles rock band and also followed the Dallas Mavericks. She visited England, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. She had artistic talent and made paintings and sculptures. Melissa loved rabbits and she loved Dr. Pepper.

Survivors include her parents, Roxanne and Ron Kobelka, her niece, Kaylee Rowden, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Melissa is preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Melanie Kobelka, her grandparents, her cousin Michael Dunn, her second cousin Travis Forman, some aunts, uncles, and her faithful dog Moot.

Soft spoken by nature, Melissa was well able to stand up for herself. She had strong moral principles that she strictly adhered to and demanded from others. To know her was to love her.
