Nelda Faye Phelps 1936-2016 Nelda Phelps of Bowie, TX passed away on July 23, 2016. Nelda was born August 9, 1936 to her parents, George K. Conner and Velma Ballew in Electra, TX. Nelda worked as a book keeper in auto parts where she brought joy, laughter and compassion to everyone she in contact with. Nelda never met a stranger and was a very active and energetic mother and daughter. Nelda was very strong willed, as determination and grit were only a few of her personality traits. Family meant everything to Nelda, always spending her time with them. Nelda had a big family and was proud of each and every one of them. Nelda is survived by her son, Anthony Doyle Storey and many other loving family and friends. Nelda is preceded in death by her mother and father, George K. Conner and Velma Ballew. While the family is greatly saddened by Nelda's leaving this earth, they rejoice and celebrate her new beginning with our Lord and Savior in her new home in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
