In Loving Memory of Nicholas "Bruce" Nathanial Caulder Jr.
1955 - 2025
Nicholas Nathanial Caulder Jr., also known to many of his longtime friends as Bruce Anthony Taylor, passed away peacefully at home in Weatherford, Texas on July 31, 2025. He was 69 years old.
Born on December 8, 1955, in Winnsboro, South Carolina to Nicholas Nathanial Caulder Sr. and Barbara Ann Cooper Caulder, Nick proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. The discipline, strength, and skills he gained during his service guided him throughout a lifelong career as a building engineer and operations specialist.
On July 4, 1984, Nick married the love of his life, Eva Dianette Caulder. Together they shared over 40 years of love, partnership, and family life.
Nick had a deep love for animals, especially racing greyhounds and horses, and found great joy in the world of horse racing. His passion for the sport extended beyond the track — he was an enthusiastic collector (to the point of hoarding, as his family lovingly jokes) of horse racing memorabilia. His home was filled with treasures that reflected his admiration for the history and spirit of the sport.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Eva Dianette Caulder; his children, Hannah Caulder, Jesse Caulder and wife Rebecca , Sommer Martin, and Bruce Earle and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Savana Earle, Jack Nuinez, Toby Nuinez, Madison Earle, Paycen Martin, Sierra Martin, Christian Meroney, Elijah Meroney, and Olivia Caulder; and his great-grandchild, Aspen Martin. He also leaves behind his sisters, Beverley Swink and husband Mike and Maurine Helm and husband Steve.
Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Engelhardt; his father, Nicholas Caulder Sr.; and his brother, Robby Taylor.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
Nick will be remembered for his strength, sense of humor, love for family, passion for animals, and pride in his heritage. His memory — and his collections — will live on in the hearts and homes of those who loved him.
May the LORD keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other. Genesis 31:49
