Nicholas John Ducas "Nick" 1933 - 2017 Nicholas John Ducas passed away on November 9, 2017 while surrounded by loving family members. Nick was born July 27, 1933 to his parents Gus Ducas and Caroline Nicoletti in New York City, New York. Nick grew up with his two other siblings in Manhattan. After school Nick, joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country. He also met and later married the love of his life, Beverly Ann Morgan. The two started their loving family and would raise four wonderful children. Nick and Beverly enjoyed traveling and seeking new adventures. Nick was a wonderful husband and father. His family brought so much joy to him. Nick was so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the light of his eye and brought a new energy and meaning to his life. Of all the accomplishments Nick achieved in his life, none was greater than his beautiful family. Nick was a true craftsman and had many artistic talents. He made several grandfather clocks that are treasured by his family. Nick was also very gifted musically. He enjoyed playing several instruments with family and friends. Nick found a lot of peace in another artistic outlet, painting. Nick found such pleasure in painting horses and scenic landscapes. Surely Nick found most of his inspiration from experiencing the beauty of nature. Throughout his life, Nick witnessed the majesty of the Alaskan Wilderness and many other splendid sights. Nick found a true peace and serenity while trekking through God's beautiful creation. Nick is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his son, Craig Ducas and wife Sharon; his son, Nick Ducas Jr. and wife Loretta; his daughter, Caroline Spade and husband Steve; his daughter, Marlene Berry and husband Joe; his grandchildren, Craig Jr, Charlie, Brian, Adam, Angela, Shawna, Joshua, Misty, Heather, Nicolaus and Thomas "TW"; his nineteen great grandchildren; his sister, Jean Newman and husband Paul along with many other loving family members and dear friends. Nick preceded in death by his parents, Gus Ducas and Caroline Briamonte as well as his brother, George Ducas. The memories of Nick will continue to live in our hearts forever.
