Obituary

Patricia Susan McKay, known affectionately as "Pat," of Fort Worth, Texas, passed peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her three children in the comfort of her home. Born on November 8, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Doris and J.H. McKay at Lackland Air Force Base, she was one of five siblings. Pat was a brilliant student, graduating fifth in her class in Greenville, Texas, and possessed a lifelong love for numbers.

For over 20 years, Patricia served as a loan officer with the U.S. Small Business Administration, where her keen analytical skills and dedication to helping others flourished. After retiring at the age of 52, she embraced her role as a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, taking great joy in the lives of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. In addition to her professional contributions, Pat was an active member of Grace Evangelical Methodist Church, where she devoted more than a decade to supporting the community food bank, reflecting her charitable spirit and commitment to service.

Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Doris Pennington McKay; her father, J.H. McKay; and two brothers, John Steven McKay and John David McKay. She is survived by her three children, Melinda Morris, Angela Zuniga, and Timothy Zuniga; six loving grandchildren, Lillian Morris, Lydia Paige Morris, Elijah Vogt, Lorelei Morris, Michael Zuniga, and Raven Zuniga; her sister, Ann Underwood; her half-brother, John Oliver McKay; two nieces; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cherished friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Church, located at 4740 Western Center Blvd, Haltom City, Texas 76137, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Patricia's warmth, intelligence, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
