On June 7, 1974, Arkansas City, Kansas, received the blessing of a lifetime when Phillip Harper and Bertha Morris welcomed their son, Phil into the world. Phil spent the next 51 years making sure no one was bored.
Phil grew up excelling in sports and school, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1992. After high school graduation he continued his education at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas, before eventually taking his Kansas charm to Texas. There, he served as a supervisor at Haggar, where he not only managed his team but managed to keep the laughs rolling daily.
When he wasn't cheering loudly for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, you could find him in the kitchen - either cooking a delicious meal or sneaking some Little Debbies or any other sweet treat. He was always dancing or making up little songs about any random topic. You could also find him quoting classic movies, watching Seinfeld or jamming to his own soundtrack. He was a light-hearted soul who believed that if you weren't cracking a joke, you weren't doing it right.
His greatest gift was his infectious laugh, the kind that would make even a stranger smile.
Survived by children: Syncere Harper, Jeremiah Harper, Jamil Stanley, Phantasia Harper, Sierra Harper, Phillip Morris and Amyah Morris; parents: Bertha McKay and Phillip Harper; brothers and sister, 2 grandchildren and a whole roster of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his main character energy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Florence Lolar, and paternal grandparents, Hosey and Otha Jean Harper.
