Porfirio Guzman

1950-2018

Porfirio Guzman was called to be with the Lord on December 7, 2018. Porfirio was born in Brownsfield, Texas on October 25, 1950 to his parents, Fedricio Guzman and Amelia Campos.

Porfirio married the love of his life, Dorothea Pena on March 30, 1972, they moved to Houston where he started painting; together they raised a beautiful family of eight children. Porfirio worked hard to support his family and give them everything they needed. He loved his snacks, specifically, moon pies, pecan pies and ginger bread piggies. Porfirio spent his free time, fishing, crafting and spending quality time with his dog, Ronco. Nothing was cherished more by Porfirio than the memories made spending precious moments with his family.

Porfirio is survived by his loving wife, Dorothea Pena-Guzman; his children, Genelle G. Hernandez, Linda G. Menchaca, Joel P. Guzman, Lisa A. Guzman, Steven Guzman, Bobby Guzman, Michael Guzman, and Isreal Guzman; his grandchildren, Larissa, Matthew, Christian, Gabriel, Brandon, Justin, Estella, Thomas, Victoria, Emily, Evan and Aiden; his four brothers; his 4 sisters; along with nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Santos Coronado.
