Richard Luther Finch, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully in his home in Richland Hills on July 2, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on March 25, 1977, to Charles and Phamie Finch in Fort Worth, Texas, Richard was a man of honor, dedication, and kindness. Richard's early life was marked by a deep sense of duty and commitment. He graduated from Brewer High School in May of 1995, where he was known for his sharp intellect and warm personality. Following in the footsteps of his family, Richard joined the United States Army, serving as an avionic communications repairman. His service took him to Fort Hood, Texas, and Hanau, Germany, where he exhibited exemplary skills and unwavering dedication until his honorable discharge in 1999. After his military service, Richard transitioned to a civilian career, leveraging the expertise he gained in the Army. He began his professional journey at Charter Communications as a cable repair technician, a role that highlighted his technical prowess and problem-solving abilities. His passion for technology and security led him to pursue studies in cybersecurity at Tarrant County College, further enhancing his skill set and preparing him for his future endeavors. For the past seven years, Richard was a valued member of DNA Security Services. His colleagues and clients alike admired him for his meticulous work ethic, integrity, and the calm, reassuring presence he brought to his profession. Richard's dedication to his work was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Finch and Phamie Bailey, and his nephew Anthony Finch. He leaves behind his cherished brother, Russell Finch, and sister-in-law, Devin of Grand Prairie. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces, Shelbi Prichard of Springtown and Allyson Finch of Azle. Richard's family also includes his aunts, Pat Westbrooks of Haltom City, Carolyn Wilson of Canton, and Gail Meador of Haslet, along with numerous cousins and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Richard Finch's life was a testament to the values of service, loyalty, and love. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Richard's life, where family and friends will gather to remember the remarkable man who touched so many lives.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be rendered at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, July 19, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM.
