Richard Gene Taylor (1946-2016) Richard Gene Taylor was born in Tullos, Louisiana, on July 10, 1946, to his parents, Donald and Margie, and returned to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on January 8, 2016. Richard was a proud member of the U.S. Navy, and was very active. He enjoyed fishing, and loved to work, pouring his heart into every job he did. Richard had a dry sense of humor, and was always helping people when they needed it. He is survived by his sons, Donald and Edwin Taylor, his grandaughters, McKenzee Lane, Madyson, Elyssa, and Emma Taylor, his grandsons, Ethan and Evan Taylor, his brothers, Donald Raymond Taylor, Jr., and Alvin Taylor, his sister, Mary Odell-Mancheck, numerous other family members, and countless friends. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Margie Taylor, his grandaughter, Elley May Taylor, his brother, Edwin Oliver Taylor, and his sister, Margie Taylor Lewis. A visitation service will be held from 11 am-2 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home. Richard will be truly and deeply missed, but never forgotten, as we will always hold him dearly in our hearts.
