Robert Darrow Harden

1945 – 2019

Robert Darrow Harden, born December 9th, 1945 in Nashville, TN to Roy Franklin Harden and Joan "Joanne" (Ingrim) Harden, passed peacefully at home on the morning of April 16th, 2019 surrounded by close family.

Robert Harden was a loving father, an avid fisherman and an all-around outdoorsman. He shared his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren. He was the king of the grill at his massive family gatherings and his feasts were comparable to none. Out of the comedy troupe that was his family he was the straight man, known to let loose some of the best quiet zingers. Robert was the stone foundation of this tribe.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Dawn Marie (Nephew) Harden, his daughter Kimberly Jean Harden, and sons S. Tice Harden and Forrest D. Harden and their wives Jessica Gabour-Harden and Jennifer Harden. His grandchildren include Dallas and wife Jessica Harden, Wade Harden, Brittany and husband Troy Gaffey, Cody, Jordan, Trey, Rayne, and Summer Harden, Alanna Ewing, M. Jaren and Morgan Tagorda. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Nora Harden, Connor and Sage Harden, Neeka-Nikiah and Dakotah Gaffey.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his son Robert Darrow Harden Jr.
