Robert Lamar Jamison 1930-2021

Robert Lamar Jamison went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2021, in Arlington, Texas. He was born on August 20, 1930 to his parents, Robert Bilbo Jamison and Louise Queen in Memphis, Tennessee.

Robert joined the Army on August 19, 1950 and proudly served our county as a Medical Field Technician. After his departer from the military, he became a police officer for Tate County where he was elected Captain for many years before retiring. Robert was a true hardworking man throughout his entire life.

In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors on the front porch and he especially loved fishing for catfish. Robert liked to travel and frequently visited his favorite vacation spot in Branson, Missouri.  He spent many nights at TGI Fridays enjoying his favorite drink of choice, Jack Daniels, and having dinner with his family. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially his best made meal of cornbread and pinto beans.  Robert was known by all for his quick wit and sharp tongue.  He was a proud father and grandfather that will be deeply missed.

He is reunited with his wife Joyce Jamison; mother, Louise Queen; father, Robert Bilbo Jamison; brother, Bub Jamison; sister, Betty Bradley; son, Donald; and grandchild, Dawn Jamison
