Obituary

Rodney W. Jones was born on September 3, 1967 in Greensboro, NC to David E. Jones Sr. and Myrtle McCoy-Jones. His parents along precede him in death. Rodney was the youngest of four children.

He accepted Christ and united in church at an early age. He attended Elementary through High School in Greensboro NC, Public School. He graduated from James B. Dudley High School in 1985.

Rodney served in the military for 4 years where he received an honorable discharged. Rodney went to truck driving school and began in the field of truck driving.  Soon after, he bagan to work for Sygma Network where he was a passionate truck driver and succeeding as a driver trainer for up-coming new truck drivers for accumulated 33 years.

Rodney had a passion for fitness where he devoted much time in working out and staying fit. He also enjoyed being a comedian where he kept his family and friends laughing. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife of 25 years and their children, grandchildren and enjoyed being a foster parent, which was evidenced by the large array of family photos that has been accumulated over the years.

Rodney was the senior pastor of Kingdom Empowerment Outreach Christian Center with his wife by his side. His devotion to his belief in God and his family supported him in his illness and ultimately gave him peace.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Seneicia Jones; son, Patrick D. Bell of Arlington TX; daughter, Danielle R. Ramsey of Arlington TX; grandchildren, Genesie Bell, Jaida Bell, and Savanna Bell; sister, Mrs. Rita Locust (Wayne); two brothers, Mr. David E. Jones Jr. (Vanessa) and Mr. Kim Jones (Sharon); nephew, Damon Locust; nieces, Latisha Stacker and Aurora Turner; uncle, Fred McKoy  and aunt, Linda McKoy; and a host of relatives and friends.
