Rudolph (Rudy) C. Leyendecker, 88, of Thorndale, TX was granted his wings on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at his daughter's home in Ft. Worth, TX surrounded by his family. Mr. Leyendecker was born in Reagan, Tx to William and Janie Leyendecker on November 3, 1932. He was an iron worker for the majority of his life and enjoyed the company of his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Willie, Odell and Willford Leyendecker; one sister, Janie Leyendecker Cano, and his youngest son, Randy Leyendecker. Rudy is survived by one brother, Otto Leyendecker of Bullhead, AZ; six sisters, Lillian Lopez and Olivia Leyendecker, both of Thorndale, Elvira Mata of Big Spring, Helen Perry and Margret Vega, both of Roscoe, and Emily Pantoja of Round Rock; his children, Rudy Luna and wife Virginia of Phoenix, Angie Berg and husband Alan of Lancaster, Melinda Leyendecker Hipolito and husband John of Ft. Worth, Max Leyendecker and fiancé April of Ft. Worth, and Melissa Leyendecker Ibarra and husband Francisco of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Isaac and Ian Leyendecker both of Ft. Worth, Iris Day of Taylor, Daniel and Joshua Robles, Francisco, Jr. and Kamryn Ibarra all of Las Vegas, Joseph Hipolito stationed in North Carolina, Jessica and Nathan Hipolito, both of Ft. Worth, Marissa Dorsey and husband Mike of North Carolina, Rebecca Ruiz and husband Ramon, Andrea Felix and husband Steve, both of Phoenix, Justin Berg, Jason Berg and wife Kaitlin, Jordan Glynn and husband William, all of Lancaster; great grandchildren include McKynlee Day, Milani Dorsey, Elena and Elias Ruiz, Sylvia Felix, Samantha Lavine and husband Travis; one great-great grandchild, Aiden Lavine; friend, caretaker and ex-wife, Daisy Leyendecker of Ft. Worth as well as many nieces and nephews.
