Sammy Eugene Wilson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. Sammy was born in a little farm house in Monroe, Arkansas to his parents, Juanita Rogers and Elzie Terry. He was raised by his always loving, devoted mother and a very loving and kind step-father, James Wilson Sr, the only father he ever knew. He served in the United States Navy from 1956-1976. After retiring from the Navy he went to work for the United States Postal Service, where he worked for another 20 years. Sammy is survived by his daughters, Debbie and Frank Flores, Lynda and David Taylor, Jerri and John Carpenter: nine grandkids; ten great-grandkids, and many more "kids" of his heart. He also leaves behind his brother, James Wilson Jr.; his sister, Patrica Johnston; his cousin, Buela Mae and many other family members. He is proceeded in death by his Step-father, Mother and Grandmother. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Carolyn Wilson.
