In Loving Memory of Shannon P. Silvus
1967 - 2025
Shannon Patrick Silvus, age 57, passed away on November 17, 2025. Born in December, Shannon lived a life defined by love, humor, and the deep joy he found in family. Shannon is survived by his beloved wife, Nikaury Mercado de Silvus. He was a devoted and loving father to his children: Ashanti Rosario Mercado, Yandel Rosario Mercado, Justin Silvus and Melanie Vinh. Shannon also cherished his granddaughter, Lily Vinh. His family was the center of his world, and he spent every moment with them. Some of Shannon's happiest times were shared playing games with his family. His kindness, humor, and warm presence brought people together across all platforms. Whether competing in Rocket League, building together in Minecraft, scoring in Canasta, or calling out UNO! He loved the laughter, joy, and connections those moments created. Shannon's hobbies also included movies and he had a gift for remembering every iconic line. Whenever someone said something that lined up with a scene, he would weave in the perfect quote creating moments of laughter. Of course, after the laughter you'd feel compelled to follow up with the next line. "And there are simply too many notes" ... "Just cut a few and it'll be perfect" "Aziz Light!" ... "Much Better, Thank you Aziz" "Looks to me like I've got all the horses!" ... "Looks to me like you're on the wrong side of the river!" "It's the simple things in life you treasure." Shannon will be remembered for his enthusiastic nature, the devotion he showed to those he loved, and the joy he brought to everyday moments. His absence leaves a deep ache, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
