1951 - 2023
Sheila Gail Mann, born on September 22, 1951, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Bill Vernon Moore and Lucile Watson-Moore, passed away on December 18, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. Sheila is survived by her devoted husband, Teddy Mann, and her loving sons, Frankie Adams and Christopher Adams. Her legacy lives on through six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters, Sheila's life was marked by a remarkable 49-year marriage to Teddy Mann. Their love story began when Sheila's mother, who worked with Teddy at the Merigold milk plant, introduced them. This union grew from a foundation of love and shared values, leading to a lasting and meaningful partnership. In the 1980s, Sheila found solace and purpose in her faith, being baptized at the Christian Center of Haltom City. She embraced her role as a mother, not only to her biological children but also as a caretaker for two nephews whom she treated as her own. Sheila's enormous heart extended to everyone she encountered. Her culinary skills were renowned, mastering the art of cooking a wide array of dishes, and her iced tea was legendary. Family always came first for Sheila, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. A doughty grandmother, she approached life with resilience and warmth. There will be a viewing at the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Texas, on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by a graveside service.
