Obituary

SSGT. Bryce Ashton Rudisell

1995 - 2022

SSGT Bryce Ashton Rudisell passed away as an honorable hero on October 2, 2022.  He was born on June 29, 1995, the first of four children, to Tiffany and Rayvon Strickland.

From a young age, Bryce's unfaltering focus to be the best and do his best was shown.  With this mentality, he made the sacrifice to proudly serve his country as a US Marine; his career flourished earning him degrees in Fire Science and Instructor of Technology and Military Science. As a highly decorated Marine, Bryce quickly rose from Corporal to Staff Sergeant.

When he wasn't on duty, he enjoyed working out, playing sports or eating at one of his favorite places, Chipotle or Einstein Brothers. Bryce enjoyed being outdoors, from hiking trails, the gun range and being in the water. He spent countless hours with his friends, playing video games, shooting pool and finding new movies or shows to watch.  Bryce had a soft spot for any and all animals, especially his cats, Duke and Dutchess.  Above all, the two things that brought him the most joy in life was being a Marine and his family.

Bryce never failed to lend a helping hand or protect those he loved. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He was a light in a dark room.  Bryce's selfless heart and bright smile will never be forgotten by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Until we meet again, Bryce has been reunited with his grandmother, Penny Cherry; his great-grandparents, John and Polly Moody; and great-grandmothers, Marie Hunter and Annie Hunter, Jordan; his best furry friend and Terrance; his brother from another mother.

Bryce will be deeply and lovingly missed by his parents, Rayvon and Tiffany Strickland; his sisters, Hayleigh, Savannah, and Anastasia; his brother and brother in law, Noah and Christopher; his new nephew, Nash; his biological father, Todd Rudisell; his grandparents, Charles and Debbie Cherry and Carol and Gary Forbes; his great-grandfather, Carl Hunter; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends who became family.
