Stephen Anthony Essner
1956 - 2023 Steve went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and a profound impact on the lives of those he touched. Born on March 7, 1956, Steve was a man of remarkable character and charm. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, papa and friend. He enjoyed hours on the fairway and found solace and joy casting a line over the water. Steve dedicated his time to volunteering at the Benbrook Animal Shelter and had a commitment to help those in need by extending his involvement with Meals on Wheels, where he delivered nourishment and companionship to the elderly and homebound. With a warm smile and open heart, he brightened the lives of those he served, reminding them that they were valued and cared for. Steve's presence not only provided physical sustenance but also lifted spirits and created lasting connections, making a profound impact on the lives of the individuals he touched. Steve was preceded in passing by Earl and Joann Essner, Nancy Thomas, Janice Natoli, Tommy Essner and Greg Essner. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Essner; sisters, Peggy Ferrell and Kim Hadaway; and various nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
