Steven Michael Zertuche
September 29, 1967 ~ December 31, 2017
Steven Michael Zertuche went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 31, 2017. Steven was born in Bexar County, Texas on September 29, 1967 to his parents, Leopoldo Zertuche Jr. and Tove Wenneberg.
Steven grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a charismatic young man and carried his free-spirited nature into his adulthood. Steven was a rolling stone who loved new adventures, from Hawaii to Florida and everywhere in between that he could enjoy basking in the sun and the beauty of the ocean. He was full of life and got a thrill out of an adventurous lifestyle. He was a fighter and often referred to himself as a shark. Steven enjoyed music and was always singing along to a tune. He wanted the people around him to succeed and shared his firm belief in education to further their drive. His new job brought him joy and gave Steven hope for the future. Steven loved his family more than anything and adored his granddaughters. He was a born again Christian and indulged in time with the Lord while attending Gateway Church. Steven will be missed for all the smiles shared, his witty sense of humor and his unconditional love.
Steven is survived by his father, Leo Zertuche; his son, Stephen Zertuche; his daughter, Lori Zertuche; mother of his children, Violeta Luna; his granddaughters, Marleigh Perales, Alesia Zertuche, and Zoe Zertuche; his sister Natalie Zertuche; his brother, Mark Wenneberg; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other loving family members and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Tove Wenneberg.
Though we are saddened by our loss of this amazing man, father and grandfather, our hearts are lightened by our knowledge of his place in the Kingdom of God.
