Tim R. Speir, 58, passed away February 21, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas after a brief battle with cancer. Tim was born in McKinney Texas to Paddy & Jim Bob Speir on October 17, 1957. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Lisa VanSlyke Speir, his sons, Scott, Evan & Reid Speir, his mother, Paddy Knight and her husband Cecil; his mother-in-law, Patty Peach and her husband David; his sister, Lisa Kay Speir, sister & brother-in-laws, Pam & Jim Turner, Mike & Debi VanSlyke, Scott VanSlyke, Lori & Mike Arnold and Vicki & Steve Melton along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Bob Speir. Tim was a talented musician and shared this love of music with his wife and sons. He loved to sing in church choir and play the ukulele and guitar. His music, as well as his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Tim loved the Lord and we know he is now singing with the saints and praising his heavenly Father with those he loved who've gone before him. A memorial service will be held on February 27th @ 2:00 pm at North Pointe Baptist Church, 147 E. Hurst Blvd., Hurst, TX 76053. Rhett is Tim's great nephew and he loved him very much.
