Tommy David Walden Sr.
1955-2016
Tommy Walden of Weatherford, TX passed away on July 25, 2016. Tommy was born September 11, 1955 to his parents, Shirley Slocum and Dan Stephens Walden in Fort Worth, TX.
Tommy worked as a commercial painter for 26 years where his professionalism was recognized by all that saw his work and talented skills. Tommy brought laughter and joy to everyone he came in contact. Tommy never met a stranger and was a very active and energetic father and son. Tommy was very strong willed, as determination and grit were only a few of his personality traits. Tommy graduated from Pooleville High school. Tommy loved WWE wrestling and watching movies, especially the classics. Tommy loved to write poetry and was fascinated by eagles. Tommy had a collection of eagles all over his house. Tommy loved his Lord and was intrigued by all of the religions of the world and found merit in all of them. Family meant everything to Tommy, always spending his time with them.
Tommy is survived by his father, Dan Walden of Fort Worth, TX, his daughter, Brandy Walden of Weatherford, TX, and his son, Tommy David Walden Jr. of Fort Worth, TX. Tommy also leaves behind his granddaughters; Chelsey Burns and Laney Heine of Mineral Wells, TX, and Cassie Walden of Fort Worth, TX. His grandsons; Zack Walden and Nick Walden of Fort Worth, TX. Tommy is also survived by four great grandchildren, a great grandson, Ryder Foster of Mineral Wells, TX, a great granddaughter, Phoebe Norris of Mineral Wells, TX, a great grandson, Owen Burns of Mineral Wells, TX, and a great grandson, Leon Norris of Mineral Wells, TX. Tommy also leaves behind his sisters; Pamela Allen of Woodson, TX and Tracie Swindell of Azle, TX. His brothers; Steve Walden of Azle, TX, and Kenny Walden of Brock, TX, along with the love of his life, Sheena Walden- Sharp of Azle, TX. Tommy also leaves behind many other loving family and friends.
Tommy is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Slocum- Collins and his brother, Rick Walden.
While the family is greatly saddened by Tommy's leaving this earth, they rejoice and celebrate his new beginning with our Lord and Savior in his new home in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
A memorial service will be held Saturday July 30, 2016 1:00 P.M at Northwest Bible Church 5025 Jacksboro Hwy Fort Worth, Texas 76114.
