Ursula Hargrove

1931 - 2022

Ursula E. Hargrove was born in Breslau, Germany on May 18, 1931, to Kurt & Maria Kirchner. She passed away peacefully at home in Grand Prairie, Texas on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the age of 91.

Ursula was the oldest of nine children. She often enjoyed chatting with her brother, Helmut Kirchner of Germany, on the phone and loved when he would play his harmonica for her.

Ursula met and married her beloved husband of 63 years, Russell W. Hargrove, in Germany in 1957 while he was stationed in Munich, serving in the US Army.  After returning to the states, they lived in various places including Georgia, California, and Oklahoma before settling in Grand Prairie, Texas.  There, they became avid long-term members of Freetown Road Church of Christ.

Ursula was a loving matriarch who taught each of us so much. Her strong faith and giving heart will never be forgotten.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Ursula is preceded in passing by her husband, Russell W. Hargrove, and seven of her siblings.

She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her five children, Roy Hargrove, Doris Hargrove, Frank Hargrove, Andy Hargrove, and Stan Hargrove; her sister-in-law, Dolores Davis; her niece, Kathy Baggett; various nieces and nephews in Germany; and several great nieces and nephews. Ursula's greatest blessings were her 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
