Velma Lee Scott 1924-2015 Velma Lee Scott was born on January 1, 1924, in Palestine, Texas, and returned to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on November 23, 2015. Velma loved the Lord, loved to cook, and most importantly, she loved her family. Velma is survived by her sons, Herbert L. Scott, and Herbert's wife, Helen, and Michael Scott, her daughters, Renee Pinson, Debra Atkins, and Patricia Wren, and Patricia's husband, Ellis, her eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, along with countless friends. Velma is preceded in death by her mother and Paw Paw, Willie and Odessa Wallace, and her son, Charles Scott. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, at 12:00 PM, with a visitation from 11:00-12:00, at Azleland Memorial Park and Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home. Velma will be truly and deeply missed, but never forgotten, as we will always hold her dearly in our hearts.
