William Walter Gregory 1947-2016 William Walter Gregory was born October 1, 1947 to his parents, Ralph Gregory and Florence Marie Deggs in Dallas, Texas. William left this world to be with our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2016. We honor William's sacrifices that have been made to our wonderful nation as he served many years in the United States Army. William received distinguished honors and remained a humble servant to God, Family, and Country until his passing. After his military service, William worked as a truck driver. William loved majestic scenery of nature that our beautiful country has to offer. We often heard of the places he would go and the sights he would see. He loved the open road and the adventure it brought him. William will be remembered as a loving father to his surviving daughter, Melissa Swink and husband Eli. William also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brylee and Braxton Swink. William loved spending time with his grandchildren as so many grandfathers do. Grandchildren often bring a spark of life and joy into their grandparent's hearts. This holds true in the relationship that William had with his grandchildren. William is also survived by his sisters, Marie Gregory and Racheal Garcia; his brother, Richard Gregory; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. William is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Florence Marie Gregory; his sister, Karen Wilkins; his brother, Ronnie Swearingen and sister, Kathy Walmack. William may be in heaven now, but I know he is looking down at us with a big smile on his face saying, "Move Forward - make the best of life - and I'll see you soon. We have work to do up here, too."
