William Gene Lewis

1945 – 2023

William Gene Lewis went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on May 2, 1945, to William P. Lewis and Bessie Wright in Gastonia, North Carolina.

William was a wonderful man with a heart of gold. He was a hard-working man, he loved rifles, good food, and he was always willing to help others. He also served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lewis; his son, Steven Lewis; his brother, Wayne Lewis; and his parents, Pink and Bessie of North Carolina.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his son, Paul Lewis; his grandchildren, Jairo Alaniz Correa, Jacklyn Michelle Lewis, and Penny Lewis; his daughter in law, Yesenia Correa; his great grandchildren, Maddy, Mary, Roy Burns, and Henry; his brother, Eddie Lewis, along with other family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Roberts-Martinez Funeral Home at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas.
