William Dean Moyer
1939 - 2016
William Dean Moyer was born July 10, 1939 to his parents William Moyer and Ethel Lavender-Moyer in Florence, Arizona. We honor William's sacrifices that he made to our great country while he served in the United States Military. After serving his country in the Navy during the 1950s, Dean returned to the Fort Worth area and earned his B.B.A. at the University of Texas at Arlington. After, he worked in the food and airline industries. Finally, he moved to a farm in Grandview where he lived for 31 years, where he raised chickens, pigs, cows, and grew hay. His wife Sylvia Jeanne Spencer Moyer, predeceased him in 1977. He is succeeded by his daughter Carol Eden Moyer Aranda, his estranged wife Brenda Davis Moyer, his sister Mary Gail Moyer Ferguson and her husband Richard, both of Waynesboro, Virginia, and his sister Emma Louise Moyer of Magnolia, Texas. Grandsons August Aranda, Dusty, Corey, and Victor Scott Spann, and Granddaughters Felicia and Brenda Spann; nephews Albert Allen and Dean Carl Jackson and niece Andrea Analee Jackson Courtin and grandniece Zala Courtin, who renamed him Pretty Uncle Dean. Other survivors include Russell (Rusty) Overdirth and numerous other friends and coworkers.
