Yolanda Chapa 1947-2016 Yolanda Chapa passed away to be with our loving Father on July 13, 2016. Yolanda was born on December 4th, 1947 to her parents, Arturo Chapa and Albertina Lopez-Chapa in San Antonio, Texas. Growing up, Yolanda is remembered as being very protective to her other brothers and sisters. Yolanda loved going to church and spending time with her congregation and would teach classes to the younger children at times. After graduation, Yolanda later moved to Austin where she worked for the State Comptrollers' Office for almost ten years. After her time in Austin, Yolanda relocated to River Oaks and remained there until her passing. Yolanda worked with North Texas Legal Service where she worked for ten years. Yolanda loved the outdoors and enjoyed to go for walks and to be nature. Yolanda's passion was her relationship with God and her fellow Christians. Yolanda ministered to others by her actions and words. Yolanda was survived by her brothers; Arturo Chapa and wife Liz, Rudy Chapa and wife Elle, Ozzie Chapa and wife Linda, Ty Chapa and wife Kay, sisters; Bertha Rojas, Olga Lillagore, Janie Bratcher and along with other loving family members and friends. Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents, Arturo Chapa and Albertina Lopez. While the family is greatly saddened by Yolanda's leaving this earth, they rejoice and celebrate her new beginning with our Lord and Savior in her new home in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven. Services will be held gravside 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at Azleland Cemetery 850 N. Cardinal Rd Azle, Texas 76020
