Obituary

Yuen (Candy) Ching Ma, Adored Mother.

September 15, 1948 - December 1, 2020

Candy passed the early morning of December 1st peacefully in her sleep.   She had an admirable fighting spirit, raised two children by working two or three jobs.  She spent most of her life telling stories and enjoying cracking jokes with customers, friends and family.  The most memorable value she instilled in her children was that you respect everyone because this is the only country where the bus boy could one day be your boss.  She would give whatever she had to others in need.  She used to tell people all the time, "Love you long time, no bs."  From the story telling, to the jokes, to the fearless attitude - she never gave up.  Always so proud and protective, Candy was often referred to as Ma.  She will always be remembered with a smile and warmth as a loving mother, a fighting spirit, and a giving soul.  Though her flower and light will not bloom as it did yesterday, it now shines brighter with love and hope from a place of peace.  She is survived by her loving daughter Christa and her forgiving son Thomas.  The family requests any donations go to her place of rest:  Texas Teo Chew Temple, 10600 Turtlewood Ct., Houston, Texas 77072, U.S.A.
