April Annette DeViney, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 10, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Annette was born on July 30, 1963, in San Angelo, Texas, to her parents, Rita Louise (Clark) Baughn and Donald Eugene Baughn. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Dennis Joe DeViney.
Annette will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her brother, David, and his wife, Cathy, and her brother, Russell, and his wife, Trina. Children, Steven and his wife, Jeanna, Brandy and her husband, Lance, Michael Ryan and his wife, Megan, Leslie, and Chelsea. She was also blessed with many grandchildren: Baylie, Brett, Luke, Rylee, Haylee, Chance, Seth, Arielle, Saila, Silas, Sawyer, Storie, and Kai; and one great-grandson, Rylnn.
Annette experienced a childhood filled with adventure as a military child, traveling to different places and experiencing different cultures. Her love for the ocean was undeniable, and the sight of any body of water brought her a sense of tranquility. Annette’s love for books and coffee was evident to all who knew her. She found solace in the written word and savored the quiet moments with a good book and a cup of coffee in hand. However, it was in her roles as a mother and grandmother that Annette truly flourished. She poured her heart and soul into her family, showering them with love, support, and unwavering devotion.
On October 10, 2011, Annette married the love of her life, Dennis, where they were finally complete. Together, they traveled, shared fun moments, and created a bond that will endure throughout time.
Annette's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her and her contagious laugh, but her spirit will forever shine brightly in the memories she leaves behind. A memorial service will be held to honor Annette and Dennis, both, at Lake Brownwood on June 24, 2023. In lieu of flowers, Annette kindly requested donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
