Christine Kaye
1954 - 2021
Christine Kaye Duvall of Joshua, TX, gained her wings and went to fly with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friends in the comfort of her home.
Christine was born on July 23, 1954 in Cleburne, Texas to James T. and Katheryn Lay Collins. She graduated high school in 1972 and went on to become an amazing nurse. On December 17, 1976, Christine married her best friend, Patrick Glenn Duvall, at Union Hill Church. Christine took pride in being a mother and was involved as she could be in their activities such as school plays and campfires. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors whether she was enjoying the peacefulness of watching butterflies and hummingbirds eat from her feeders in the morning or spending hours working in her garden with her natural green thumb. Christine enjoyed crafting, painting, and baking for her family. Her love was so pure; she opened her life to everyone that she met. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Christine was a loving wife, the greatest mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in passing by her parents; brothers, James Collins, Daniel “Buster” Collins, and Kenneth “Kenny” Collins; and her sister, Barbara Terrell.
Christine will be forever in the hearts of her husband of 44 years, Patrick Duvall, of Joshua, TX; daughter, Vanessa Duvall (Agustin) of Fort Worth, TX; son, Tommy Griffin (Desiree) of Kingston, OK; step-daughters, Lola Riggs (Andy) of Glen Rose, TX, and Gayle Bell (Daryl) of Joshua, TX; sister, Dora Faye Lightfoot, of Joshua, TX; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, beginning at 9:00AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:00AM at Union Hill Cemetery.
