Erik Donald France, 58, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on December 28, 2018 after a brief illness.
Erik was born in Chicago to Donald and Barbara France on December 9, 1960. He grew up in North Carolina, attended Virginia Military Academy, the University of North Carolina, and received a doctorate in library science from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He wrote and published short stories, poetry, and scholarly articles. After working as a librarian at preparatory schools across the United States, his last job was as Assistant Library Director at Tarrant County Community College. He is survived by his mother, brother and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the United Negro College Fund.
