Eula Matheny Obituary

Eula Lee Brasiel-Matheny

1949 - 2019

Eula Lee Brasiel Matheny of Euless, beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend of many, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2019 following a 13 year battle with cancer.  Eula was born April 9, 1949 in Minco, Oklahoma to Kenneth Lawrence Brasiel and Mildred Inez Jones Brasiel.  She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Luther Woodville Brasiel and Lillie Elzada Beesley Brasiel.  Her maternal grandparents were John Ellis Jones and Eulaliea Bradley Jones.  Eula was the oldest of 10 children and had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers Eugene Brasiel and Nathaniel Brasiel, and sister Helen Brasiel Money.  She is survived by brothers Roger Soles and Matthew Brasiel, and sisters Peggy Brasiel Coffey, Patricia Keshian, Shelly Soles Welch, and Lillian Brasiel Lobato. Eula was dearly loved by her family and many friends.  She enjoyed an exciting 17 year career with American Airlines, Sabre, and EDS, working as a TPF computer programmer.  She loved to travel the world, but of all the many places she traveled, Cozumel was her favorite. She also enjoyed researching the ancestry of her family and close friends.  Most of all, Eula was kind, considerate, and loving to everyone.  She was known for putting the needs and concerns of others before her own, by listening and providing invaluable love, advice, and support.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her, and will never be forgotten.
