Gloria Ann (Whitfield) Zaki

Gloria Ann Zaki, 89, passed away on May 1, 2020. 

Gloria Ann Zaki was born June 8th, 1930, in Detroit Michigan to Grant Whitfield and Iva Mae Whitfield. She had seven brothers and sisters, 5 of which preceded her in death.
She was married in 1950 to Harold Woods. Her oldest son, Harold Woods Jr. was born in 1952. They relocated to Compton California in 1952. Gloria gave birth to Linda Kay Woods in 1954, Terrence Dean Woods in 1955 and Gary Alan Woods in 1959. 

She was active in church, and in her community. She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed, traveling and camping, reading and was passionate about her music.

In 1965, Gloria returned to college and studied Literature and Sociology.  She set an example for perseverance and higher education that was passed on to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her 3 sons and, Harold Woods Jr, Terrence Dean Woods and Gary Alan Woods and 1 daughter, Linda Kay Roberts.
She was also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 of which preceded her in death, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 11 am.
