Jana Marie (Jernigan) Busby

Jana Jernigan Busby (Jana Marie Jernigan), 61, died December 31st, 2021 at her home in Bedford. She was born June 29th, 1960 in Lafayette, LA, the daughter of John Martin and Betty Ann (North) Jernigan.  

Jana graduated from Trinity High School, Class of 1979. She studied Mathematics at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), then later transferred to Texas A&M. While at UTA, she would meet her future husband, Charlie. Jana gave birth to her only son, John, in October 1990. Jana loved her career, 31 years of service at Texas Health Resources. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, binging shows on Netflix, decorating her house, and taking trips to the Hill Country.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jamie Mae Jernigan.

Jana is survived by her husband, Charles Busby, son, John Busby, brother, John Jernigan, Jr., and nieces, Courtney (Jernigan) Lane, Jamie (Jernigan) Wright.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22nd at Compass Center (Compass Church) in Colleyville, TX. Those who wish to remember Jana may donate in her memory to the American Heart Association in place of flowers.
