Jerry Ray Vick, 72, of Fort Worth Texas, born June 12th 1949, passed from this life and gained his wings on August 21st 2021.
He served with the United States Army in the 13th infantry from December 1967 to December 1973 in Germany and Amsterdam. He then served as a Sergeant in the National Guard through February of 1977.
He loved his family and foremost the love of his life, Sandy Kay Vick, whom he was previously married for 37 years. Jerry is also survived by his three daughters Toyia Vick and her fiance Brian Loar, daughters Tonia Phillips and Terrie Vick. Jerry had six grandchildren Amanda Phillips, Trenton Ashworth, Jessica Ashworth and her husband Dylan Brown, Caylea Vick and Kyra Kratky, and nine great-grandchildren Abbygail, Tatum, Jaelyn, Trace Hayden, Mayson, Madilynn, Levi and Isaiah. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Burney and Louella Jones, numerous nephews and nieces, family and friends, including his loved fur baby Cocoa Vick of 10 years and his Quaker Parrot of over 30 years Flossy.
Jerry has now joined loved ones that passed before him, his Father Obie Baron Vick, his loving Mother Faye Taylor Vick, Brothers, H.B. Wood and Jack E.Wood, his sister Patricia Strode and his soul brother and life long best friend Joe Bason.
He was loved by so many and he will be greatly missed. Jerry was an amazing Dad and Papa.
