Judy Beth Camp
1944 - 2022
Judy Beth Lester was born on December 2nd,1944 in Azle Texas to her parents, Ralph and Lucile Madden-Lester. Judy Graduated from Azle High School in1962. Judy met the love of her life, the day she was introduced to Donald Camp. They were united in marriage on December 21st,1973 in the Azle Church of Christ and they shared forty-eight magical and beautiful years of marriage filled with joy and laughter together.
Judy left this earth to return to her eternal home in the Kingdom of Heaven on January 27th, 2022, after a long and hard-fought battle with Parkinson's Disease. She went home peacefully in her sleep to our Lord and Savior at 6:19 in the morning in North Richland Hills.
Judy was a wonderful daughter of God, Wife to Donald Camp, Mother to Douglas, and Steven, and beloved Grandmother to Xayda and Rhyler. Judy never put herself first. She always thought of others first. She was the Church Secretary at the Birdville Church of Christ for twenty-two years.
Judy doted on her family, friends and was happiest when they surrounded her on holidays and get-togethers. She hosted large Sunday dinners almost every week, where her family had the best home cooking there ever has been. Judy worked tirelessly to give everyone around her joy. She volunteered for being the Room Mother several times for Douglas and Steven’s elementary classes. Judy was a Cub Scout leader and worked closely with the PTA board. There was never a better example of a woman described in the book of Proverbs chapter 31 than Judy. She cared for her family deeply and none of them wanted for anything. Some of her favorite things and activities included: Watching the Wheel of Fortune with Donald, going to the Artisans Theatre, listening to the music of James Galway, Seeing the Sound of Music, giving gifts, and always serving our Lord. We celebrate her life as we know that she had the Hope that is spoken of in Hebrews 11:1
(Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.)
Judy was a great woman of Faith and spent countless hours getting to know Jesus better in her Bible Daily. We Rejoice greatly because of verses such as Psalm 116:15
(Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.)
and 2nd Timothy 4:7
(I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.)
Judy was proceeded in Death by her brother, John Lester, her father, Ralph Lester and her mother, Lucile Lester.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Camp, her sons, Douglas Camp and Steven Camp, her sisters, Mary Ruth Dunn, Jeanette Cox and Lynda Lester, her brother, Dave Lester, her granddaughter, Xayda Camp, and her grandson, Rhyler Camp.
Judy will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.
Praise God for her service and beautiful example, and life that she lived.
While the family is greatly saddened by the loss of this wonderful lady, they wish for everyone that knew and loved Judy to come celebrate her life...A life very well lived.
