Miguel Suarez Garcia Obituary

Miguel Suarez Garcia

1944 – 2022

Miguel Suarez Garcia went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on May 2, 1944, to Lorenzo Suarez Sr. and Juanita Garcia in Coahuila, Mexico.

Miguel was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He attended Catholic School and later attended Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla school. During the 5 de Mayo and 16 de Septiembre parades, Miguel was the corner when marching and calling “left right” setting the pace of his group; he was excellent at it. He loved Mexican food and he loved to cook. His favorite bread was cornbread. Miguel enjoyed watching soccer and the Texas Rangers.

Miguel enjoyed munching on queso fresco and lays potato chips. His midnight snack was a pan dulce or cookies with hot milk or hot chocolate. He loved listening and dancing to Spanish music. He often volunteered as a chaperone when his cousins and friends wanted to go dancing. His favorite show was La Rosa de Guadalupe and sometimes he joined his sister, Maria watching a Novela or two.

Miguel liked to be busy fixing cars, helping his brother feed the cattle or doing work around the house. Sometimes he would rearrange his niece, Juanita’s, garage. Miguel loved traveling to Muzquiz to visit family and friends. He was a thoughtful, caring and humble brother. He was always there to give a helping hand when needed.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by brothers, Hervey Suarez of Comanche, Texas, Lorenzo Suarez Jr. of Seguin, Texas, and Elisandro Suarez of Edinburg, Texas; his sisters, Maria Alvarez of Fort Worth, Texas, Elida Suarez Aguirre of Fort Worth, Texas, and Irma Rabago of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister-in-laws, Dora Suarez of Seguin, Texas and Martha Suarez of Edinburg, Texas; his brother-in-law, Osbaldo Rabago of Fort Worth, Texas; four nephews; and seven nieces.

Miguel was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Suarez Sr. and Juanita Garcia Suarez; his niece, Brianna Hernandez; and his nephew, Eldom Alvarez.
