Monty Odell Medford

Monty Odell Medford, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, after several surgeries in a courageous battle with a form of pancreatic cancer at the age of 52.

The family, although saddened, will be receiving guest on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Roberts Family Funeral Home where Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Monty was born on January 19, 1969, in Mansfield, Texas. He started his career early in laying floors with his father and later became a manager at the Dixie House Cafe.  Monty was a man of tremendous faith, and he let that faith guide him throughout his life.  He was the centerpiece of his family and was known for his never-ending, unconditional love.  Monty was a faithful husband, a selfless father of seven children, and a playful, loving “papaw” to 11 grandchildren.  He poured his heart and soul into his family, faith and work until the very end.

Monty is survived by his wife, Theresa Renee Medford, and seven children, Joshua Ryan Medford, Lacey Nicole Jones, Hayden Lynn Medford, Cassey Brooke Braun, Jacob Aldon Medford, Hailey Annabella Medford and Cody O’dale Medford.  He is also survived by his older brother and sister, David Ray and Linda Diane Medford.

He was preceded in passing by his mother and father, Dorothy Jane and Billy Joe Medford.
