Richard Thomas Lower

Richard Thomas Lower of Granbury, Texas, passed away Sunday June 28, 2020. He is now in the loving arms of God and his beloved wife, Nancy Harral Lower.

He was born November 25, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents, Jack William Lower Sr. and Gladys May Scharinghousen. Richard was a member of the United States Navy, a Vietnam War Veteran and a member of the VFW. Rick was a loving husband, step-father, brother, uncle and dear friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him well and loved him most. 

For nearly 3o years Rick was dedicated to his wife, Nancy, who predeceased him in 2015. After they retired from their business in California in 1995 they moved to Texas. They were quickly swept up in a very special community of friends enjoying all types of fun, from bowling, cards and golf to entertaining, boating and travel. He spent his remaining years, loving his family and friends of Granbury and Laguna Tres community.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Lower Smith and her husband, Jerry, his sister in-law, Carol Lower, his step-children, Scott Harral and his wife, Manuela, Ken Harral, Mike Harral and his wife Robin and Lori Harral-Stenson and her husband, Gary. Grandchildren; William, Ryan, Nicholas, Christopher, Maria, Savannah, Seth, Sierra and Shane, numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of dear friends. Rick was also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Jack and Michael Lower, whom he loved.

Due to the unusual circumstance of our time there will not be formal service. His daughter will be gathering photos to prepare a DVD for memorandum. Additional details will follow.
