Richard Kenneth Scott

1935 -2022

​Richard Kenneth Scott, 86, passed away April 15, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with complications from Cancer.
Richard was born on October 22, 1935, to Richard Ellis Scott and Georgia Rae Scott in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He attended WB Ray High School in Corpus Christi and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ag/Ed from A&I University in Kingsville, Texas.

After graduation he successfully competed on the Rodeo circuit pursuing his dream. In 1960 he met Kay Scott of Corpus Christi and they married in June 1961. This last July they celebrated 60 years of marriage at their honeymoon location in Wimberley, Texas with a wonderful Family Reunion!

They went on to have four children Sharon Rene' Scott (is preceded in death), Rebecca Kaye Scott, Rhetta Scott Pederson, Richard Kenneth Scott, Jr., Wife Andrya. Seven Grandchildren April Whitehead, Olyn Smith, Kier Pederson, Heyli Pardee, Sevren Pederson, Londyn Scott, Landrey Scott and five Great Grandchildren Scarlett Duvall, Paisley Sublett, Harper Smith, Carson Sublett, Atticus Smith.  
Brother-in-Law Cole Scott, Wife Denise and 4 Children Cody, Jordon, Deneve, Denae.

Richard excelled in Sales, Marketing and Management. Hobbies included Rodeoing, Coaching Girls Fast Pitch Softball and Soccer. He also loved Playing Golf. Richard and Kay built Yellow Rose Labrador Retrievers from a passion they shared for Breeding and Training champion dogs. 

Richard will be dearly missed by many friends and family and will be fondly remembered for his enduring strength and kind spirit.
