Sarah Jane Myers, beloved wife, mother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2023. She was born on December 6, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to William Edward Gulley and Ivina Bowling.
Sarah worked as secretary for the Fort Worth Opera under Maestro Kruger and also as a secretary for Dr. Valentine Gracie and several law firms. She met and married the love of her life, Buddy, and shared thirty-nine wonderful years together. They spent countless hours traveling to wrestling events, ballets, and theaters for Buddy’s photo shoots. Sarah loved to dress up in the most beautiful outfits accompanied by stunning jewelry anytime she left the house. Her love for jewelry was shown as her and her best friend, Darline, would work part time for Horse Country where they would sell and play with all types of different jewelry. Sarah’s pride was held in the children she raised, Robert Wayne and Robin Christine. The passing of her son, Robert Wayne, in 1990 left her heart with an emptiness that she tried to fill by adopting her dogs, Misha, Little Bit, and Bella. Sarah was overcome with joy when she became a grandmother to her four grandchildren, Matthew Paul, Thomas Joel, James Kyle and Dalton Wayne. Becoming a great-grandmother at the age of “39” to Nataleigh and Maddi brought even more light into her life. Sarah’s giving heart and beaming smile will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
She has been reunited with her parents, W.E. Gulley and Ivina Gulley, and son, Robert Wayne Moore, in God’s Eternal Kingdom.
Sarah will be deeply and lovingly missed by her husband, Buddy Myers; daughter, Robin Weger, and husband, Karl; grandsons, Matthew Stinson, and wife, Dani, T.J. Stinson, Kyle Weger, and Dalton Moore; two great-granddaughters, Nataleigh Eubanks and Maddi Stinson; and a host of extended family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM.
