Stephanie Cheryse Ballenger Hulme passed away August 21, 2021, in a local hospital after 6 days of being hospitalized with covid pneumonia.
Stephanie was born May 9, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas to Sovola Don and Cecilia Darby Ballenger. Before her first birthday, she and her family moved to Dallas where she spent her early childhood. In 1985, her family moved back to Fort Worth where she graduated from Brewer High School in 1990. She first worked at Montgomery Ward and then at a church where she met and married her husband of 28 years, Michael “Mickey” Hulme. After spending most of her first years of marriage being a devoted and loving mother to her four children, she was employed by Mrs. Baird’s Outlet Stores for 16 years where she was manager of the River Oaks Store her last 6 years. She was also employed by Liberty Tax at their River Oaks location for their last 9 tax seasons and was manager the last season. She was always finding ways to supplement her income which included selling Avon and real estate. She was recently certified to start a new career in bookkeeping. Stephanie was known for her generosity, joy, love of all things Christmas, compassion for all, and unwavering devotion to her family. We are all better people for having had her in our lives.
She is survived by her husband, Mickey Hulme, sons, Samuel Caleb, Jonathan David and Benjamin Alexander, daughter, Hannah Moriah, mother, Cecilia Ballenger, and sister, Donyse Jadlowski and husband, Ken, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Sovola Don Ballenger.
