Wanda was born on September 11, 1937 in Galesburg, IL to the late Wayne and Elsie Kilpatrick Hummel.
Wanda was a waitress at the Westside Cafe for many many years. She met her boss, Tracy, when he first got into the restaurant business. She loved her job and customers very much. She had a very loyal customer base. She will be missed by them all.
She had a true “need for speed” which led her to racing stock cars at the dirt track. Wanda’s dedication truly showed in her last race when she crossed the finish line with her seat on fire! Later in life, she enjoyed playing bingo and collecting crosses and angels. Wanda had a big heart and loved life. She cherished the time she spent with her family and co-workers. Wanda Lea will be truly missed.
She joins her children, Johnny Coonce, James Morgan, and Jodee Dooley; granddaughter, Judith Hertz; and great-granddaughter, Shana Huckaby in heaven.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Morgan; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and a host of loving friends.
