In Loving Memory of Susana J. Oliva

1953 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susana Oliva, who left this world on October 2, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on March 23,1953, Susana lived a life full of challenges but met each with remarkable strength and determination.

A mother to nine daughters, Susana was a woman of fierce independence and resilience. Though life was never easy for her, she faced it with an unyielding spirit. She loved deeply in her own way, even when it was tough love. Susana found solace in the small joys of life—her passion for Bingo brought her great delight.  She was known for her incredible cooking, serving meals that could warm any heart. Her kitchen was always a place of comfort and delicious food, shared with family and friends.

Susana's love for dancing revealed her zest for life, and her quick wit and unfiltered  jokes always kept those around her laughing. Even in hard times, she found a way to bring humor and light into the room. She faced every obstacle life threw her way with grit, never backing down from a challenge.

She is survived by her husband, Humberto Oliva and her nine daughters and their spouses: MaryAnn & Gabriel Parra, Christina Rodriguez, Leticia & Micheal Herrera, Susie & Ron Carver, Carmen Oliva, Rebecca Torres, Gloria Oliva, Bertha & Marcello Franco, and Jessica Oliva. Her grandchildren: Marissa, Alexander, Gabriela, Juanita, Rosalina, Beto, Gloria, Sabrina, Andrea, Jimena, Jonathan, Demetrio, Christina, Esperanza, Victoria, Erika, Tyler, Ryan, Ezekiel, Elena, Julian, Isaac, Isabella, Sebastian, Lyla, Marcello, Elijah, and Pepper, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Susana's legacy of resilience, laughter, and love will live on in those she leaves behind including all her great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Roberts - Martinez Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM.
